The Board of Investment (BoT) will lead Thai auto part manufacturers to penetrate the Indonesian market with the hope to push Thailand as the Asian hub of auto parts.

BOI Unit for Industrial Linkage Development (BUILD) Chief, Chanin Kaojan, stated that BUILD was scheduled to take Thai auto parts and machine components manufacturers to participate in the Indonesia International Auto Parts Accessories and Equip Exhibition 2010 (INAPA 2010) in Jakarta, Indonesia, during 24-27 March 2010.

He said the participation was aimed at opening the opportunity for Thai operators to enhance their businesses in the region. Other participants in this event would be induced to expand their businesses at the SUBCON Thailand 2010, ASEAN's Leading International Industrial Subcontracting Event which would be held in May in Bangkok.

The chief cited that BUILD had planned to set more activities to lead Thai components producers get through to other Asian countries with the hope to make Thailand an Asian hub in the components industry by 2015. He added that the value of the components trade in 2010 that BUILD expected to get was not lower than 20 billion THB.
