To mark the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan falling on 10 October 2011, H.E. Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra of Thailand and H.E. Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani of Pakistan exchanged messages of warm greetings and congratulations.

Also, messages were exchanged between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, H.E. Mr. Surapong Tovichakchaikul, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, H.E. Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar, expressing satisfaction at the close and friendly ties existing between the two countries. The Foreign Ministers reassured their counterparts that both the Royal Thai Government and the Government of Pakistan will endeavour to strengthen the friendship and cooperation in all areas of mutual interest for the benefit of the two peoples and regions.
