Thailand to host the 59th International Medical Students Assembly in March
Thailand is about to host the 59th International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA) General Assembly from 3 to 16 March 2010, with at least 800 medical students from all around the world expected to participate in the event.
This international assembly is organized for the first time in Thailand whereby medical students will convene to exchange ideas and academic views on public health service in their countries.
In Thailand, there are 19 universities which offer degrees in medicine.
The meeting will highly benefit Thailand and the medical profession as it helps enhance the credibility and the efficacy of the students’ work. The participants will get this opportunity to be acquainted with new friends from other countries, thus benefiting future cooperation among them. It will also make Thailand better known on a wider scale.
