TCEB leads Thai operators to AIME 2010 in Australia to promote MICE businesses
Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) hope to promote Thai meeting incentive convention and exhibition businesses or MICE by leading Thai operators to attend AIME 2010 in Melbourne, Australia. The aim is to penetrate ASEAN+6 markets, to earn over 250 million THB as income.
Director of TCEB, Akrapol Sorasuchat, stated, that in line with the organization’s policy to promote Thailand as the center of the convention and exhibition site in Asia, around 30 Thai business operators would be brought for the road show at the 2010 Asia-Pacific Incentive & Meetings Expo (AIME 2010) during 2-3 March. Mr Akrapol said there was a value for money campaign to attract investors. He expected that participation in the event would lure around 5,000 MICE businesses to Thailand with an expected income of over 250 million THB.
The Director added that the event was the largest expo of MICE businesses in Australia and hoped to penetrate the business in ASEAN+6 countries which include China, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. He had confidence that in 2010 about 400 conventions and exhibitions would be held in Thailand.
