Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) joins Credit Suisses in Singapore Road Show

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) will join with Credit Suisse Securities (Thailand) to conduct “SET-CS Singapore Road Show 2010”  on Friday 27 August 2010, to present investors  with current information on the Thai economy and investment opportunities in Thailand, according to SET president Charamporn Jotikasthira.

It is the third road show held by SET this year after successful similar events in Japan and England.

He said Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij would lead the Thai delegation to provide information on the country’s overall economy to investors.

The National Telecommunication Commission would jointly present information on progress in the telecommunications business, particularly a move to put in place the 3G (third generation) system in Thailand.

Executives of nine leading listed companies in five sectors, which are the center of investor attention, will participate in the event.

“For this road show, we will present information on the Thai economy and investment opportunities to assure investors on the strength of the economy and listed companies in Thailand and the development of SET in many areas,” he said.

Mr Charamporn said he believed a large number of foreign institutional investors will join the event, indicating that most are a group of investors in Asia.
