Q: Where can I learn Thai cooking in Thailand?

Thai cuisine is popular all over the world because it is nutritious, delicious, and inexpensive. To capitalise on the global popularity of Thai cuisine, two major events are to be held in Bangkok at the end of September 2009 to boost exports of Thai agricultural products and help visitors enjoy a higher quality of culinary experience across the vast range of dining options in the kingdom.
The two major food events “Amazing Taste of Thailand” and “Thailand Brand” will be held concurrently between 24-28 September, 2009, jointly organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Department of Export Promotion, Thai Hotels Association, Association of Domestic Travel, and Thai Restaurant Association.

The events will include exhibitions of Thai cuisine and food products from all four regions of Thailand, and provide opportunities for trade visitors to do business. Other than that, the events will also feature demonstrations of Thai food products nationwide and cooking classes by chefs from all four regions who will create their special dishes, including main courses and desserts. There will be also contests of Thai food decoration, famous menus of movie stars and celebrities, entertainment activities, and Thai cultural shows! From Bangkok to Chiang Mai and Phuket, there are a number of premium cooking schools, introducing rich Thai cuisine heritage. Offering personalized, individual, family and group culinary courses, they generally aim to provide an insight into the unique art of Thai culinary trove, while demonstrating simple preparation techniques for traditional dishes.
For travellers, cooking schools operated by major hotels usually are their preferred choices. As meals are generally included, the tuition fees can be slightly expensive. But this was not his main gig. B.S. was a lawyer and a politican (double-trouble) during the latter period of the French Revolution (circa -1792) He was making a reasonable name for himself. One noteable accomplishment being a speech against capital punishment.
However, during those volatile times, you could be a member of the elite when you went to bed, and wake up to find they were coming to take you away ha! ha! That's pretty much what happened to our epicure. So, B.S. did the only, decent respectable thing. He got outta Dodge!
