Thai new year celebrations (Songkran) in Singapore 2012

Songkran Festival is being celebrated as the traditional Thai New Year which is marked on April 13-15. It coincides with the New Year of many calendars of South and Southeast Asia. The celebration in Thailand is known for the water throwing activity which is welcomed by many as April is usually the hottest month of the year and it symbolizes the washing away of all the bad luck from the previous year. Songkran festival is also being celebrated throughout Singapore this year. Many events that are organized by various institutions that target different audiences in Singapore.
