45th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair 2010

These days, there is no doubt that the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair (BGJF) is clearly one of the world's top five jewelry trade shows: The best twice-a-year event in the region has represented the pride of the Kingdom in the industry over two decades so far. The Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) once again delightedly welcomes you to a first-class marketplace for the global jewelry industry to buy and sell products, and keep updated with the latest trends and news.
Apart from thousands of industry professionals from every part of the world, at the 45th edition of the BGJF you will find a very wide range of selected collections, new products, and innovations. This mega event at "The World's Gem and Jewelry Hub" will connect imagination, creativity, craftsmanship, people and trade on a single-floor layout at the high-class luxury venue, the Impact Challenger at Muang Thong Thani.
With more than 3,000 booths, including about 400 international companies from 30 countries spreading over a 100,000 sq. m. of space, It might be possible for traders and buyers to miss their exact target. Then, the TGJTA invites you to join the Business Matching service in the BGJF's unique Online Sourcing Project (OSP). This will help to make formulating important deals, creating fresh contacts, forging new partnerships, and generating profits so much easier at the show.
Meanwhile, TGJTA and its partners invite all the visitors to witness the final selection of the new design competition "Ploi Thai Jewelry Award." Visitors can see glamorous ideas of Thai designers who create their designs with "Ploi Thai" colored stones. From all those submitted drafts, the selected designs will be manufactured and go to the final round, scheduled in September 2010. The winner will receive the grand trophy and spectacular awards.
Speaking of colored stones, the organizer would like to inform all guests that the Thai government recently gave the green light to the withdrawal of value added tax (VAT) for rough stones and raw meterial imports and exports. Also, manufacturers will pay only 1% tax when they sell the goods in Thailand
Another highlight at the 45th BGJF will be the special "Fine Diamond Pavilion" whic will gather togerter all the hight class diamond exhibitors in Hall 2 at the venue where vistors can enjoy walking around this glittering zone in the atmosphere of Paris's lavish Champs-Elysees street.
