Ladies and gentlemen,

It is indeed my greatest honor to chair the “No.5 Product Expo for Flood Relief”, visit fellow people and booths as well as private sectors. After the flood crisis, damage is considered an important and urgent agenda that the government, every sector, and every ministry have to pay attention to, recover flood victims, and bring the situation back to normalcy.

In overview, the first thing the government concerns is how to restore public infrastructure ranging from schools, road, temples, and hospitals. Actually today is in the end of the year which is the period of nice winter so it is a period to start cleaning your mind and restoring tourism both domestic and international. This is the government’s mission on flood recovery in overview. Meanwhile, well-being of fellow people is also an important agenda. The government is ready to provide help to flood victims via flood recovery projects. Moreover, the government also takes care of flood-affected accommodations and electricity appliances by appointing ministries involved such as Ministry of Education, SE-ED Center on behalf of vocational schools to help fix those damaged ones. There are also a number of people wishing to have new electricity appliances. To address this need, the government together with the Ministry of Energy organizes “No.5 Product Expo for Flood Relief”.

The expo does not only aim at recovering flood victims, but also enhancing energy-saving practice. Purchasing No.5 energy-saving products today is considered achieving two objectives. I would like to take this opportunity to appreciate booths, organizers, the Ministry of Energy, and everyone. Organizing this expo is to accumulate kindness from everyone who comes here. Moreover, I would like to thank the Ministry of Energy which initiates energy-saving project to this expo so consumers can enjoy discounts. This is one way to recover flood victims. Also, this is a project the government gains support from private sectors and ministries, but one necessary thing is how to build unity, and courage of Thai people after the flood. This expo is one of the examples showing the unity of Thai people.

In this occasion, I would like to again appreciate everyone involved as well as the Minister of Energy who fulfills the government’s policy. I would like to address members of the media to persuade people to come enjoying discounts here. On the auspicious occasion of the coming New Year, let me invite the virtue of the Buddha, the Dharma, the Sankha as well as HM the king and the queen to bless you and your families a happiness, success, good health, and better life forever.
