Thais to light candles online to celebrate King’s birthday

The Communications Authority of Thailand Plc (CAT Telecom) launches a new website allowing Thai people around the world to join the celebrations on His Majesty the King’s 82nd Birthday, by lighting candles online.

CAT Telecom invites all Thais to take part in the candle lighting ceremony for HM the King on the occasion of his birthday, 5 December. Mr Natthee Premrasmee, chief executive of CAT said the website has been open for the signing from 18 November to 9 December and everyone from any part of the world can light their own blessing candles.

All candles ‘lit’ on the website together with the written wishes for HM the King will be actually presented to him after the project is finished.
