Excellency, 

                    I and the people of Thailand are saddened to learn of the massive earthquake that hit central Chile on February 27, 2010, causing the loss of lives and significant damages in properties and infrastructure in many cities including Santiago and Concepción.

                   On behalf of the Government and people of Thailand, I wish to extend my sincere sympathy and condolences to Your Excellency and, through you, to the people of Chile for this calamity. I hope that their livelihood will be restored to normalcy soon. Thailand stands ready to help Chile alleviate the plight of this incident.
