On October 23, 2009, the Thai government has officially launched an international satellite television channel, ASEAN TV, that will produce news, entertainment, cultural, sports and tourism programmes in a variety of formats and in the local language of each Asean country with English subtitles. This ASEAN channel will be an important tool in strengthening relations and exchanging culture among the ten ASEAN countries and to link their people together. The channel can be watched through
