The Graduate School of Public Administration, National Institute of Development Administration in Bangkok, Thailand is pleased to invite qualified foreign students to apply for the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Development Administration conducted in English for the academic year 2009-2010.

And in order to promote international understanding and cooperation, the Graduate School of Public Administration is offering scholarships to qualified foreign students who are in need of financial support to undertake graduate study at the doctoral level in Development Administration. The recipients of the scholarships will be awarded up to 4-year scholarship with full tuition and fees exemption and monthly stipend of 10,000 baht.
General requirements:
1. Applicants must receive a Master's degree in any fields from an accredited institution.
2. Applicants must have a minimum TOEFL scores of 550 or IELTS scores of 6.5, except for those who either come from English speaking nations, or who graduated from undergraduate and graduate programs which used English as the teaching medium.
Types of Scholarship
Type I:
- 4 year scholarship;
- tuition and fees exemption;
- monthly stipend of 10,000 Baht. (approximately USD 295)
Type II:
- 4 year scholarship;
- tuition and fees exemption.
Type III:
- 4-year scholarship;
- partial tuition and other fees exemption
Eligible application for the scholarships will be accessed primarily on the basis of financial need, commitment to academic work, as well as commitment to a career in development administration.
Application Procedures:
Applicants for the Doctoral Program and the scholarships must submit the following applications documents:
1. A completed application form (the application form can be downloaded from our website http://gspa.nida.ac.th or www.nida.ac.th
2. Copes of transcripts and certificates of both undergraduate and graduate studies (translated in English).
3. Two letters of recommendation.
4. An official TOEFL or IELTS scores, except for those who are native speaks of English or those who graduated from both undergraduate and graduate programs with English as teaching medium.
5. A letter of request giving the reason(s) why s/he should be awarded with the scholarship.

Upon acceptance, applicants will receive and official letter certifying their admission to the Program.
For foreign nationals residing outside Thailand, the nearest Thai Embassy or Consular Office will be informed of the applicant's admission. The applicant should then contact the Thai Embassy or Consular Office to obtain a student visa for Thailand.
