Visitors from the Thai Red Cross Society

On Saturday 27 February 2010, from 9.30 to 10.00 a.m., Dr. Ubolwan Charoonruangrit, Clinical Pathology Deputy Director and Ms. Tasanee Sakuldamrongpanich, Assistant Director of the Thai Red Cross Society’s National Blood Centre, paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador at the Royal Thai Embassy. They were in Singapore to attend a conference and to visit the Singapore Red Cross.

Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool gave a briefing on the history of the Royal Thai Embassy and the relations between Thailand and Singapore. He also expressed appreciation to the Thai Red Cross Society for its strong support for the Embassy’s effort in looking after the health and welfare of the 42,000 Thai workers in Singapore since the Thai Red Cross Society helped provide medical team to perform medical check-up for the Thai workers in 2001 and 2002. This year the Embassy is planning another medical check-up in June or July and emergency first-aid training for Thai workers.
