The Royal Thai Embassy participated in and supported Thomson Family Day 2010

On 27 June 2010 from 1.00 pm to 5.30 pm., at the Thomson Community Club, Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool, accompanied by Mr. Monchai Phatchanee, Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. Niphon Petchpornprapas, Minister Counsellor and Head of Chancery, and Ms.Sutthathip Vathitphund, First Secretary as well as 3 trainees from Public Service Executive Development Programme attended Thomson Family Day 2010, where Mr.Hri Kumar Nair, Member of Parliament for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC was guest-of-honour.

One of the highlights of the Thomson Family Day 2010 was to break the Singapore Book of Records to have the most number of people eating durians at the same time. The aim was achieved with 2,398 persons eating durians together.
 
The activities supported by the Royal Thai Embassy included Muay Thai demonstration performance, donation of Thai beer for VIP guests, promotion of Thai desserts supported by Thai Chef Association (Singapore) and distribution of posters and brochures on Thailand supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
