The Committee on Armed Forces, House of Representative of Thailand visited the Singapore’s Naval Base and Parliament.

On 21 June 2010, from 6 to 9 p.m., Pol.Lt. Col. Somchai Petprasert, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on the Armed Forces paid a visit to the Royal Thai Embassy and met members of Team Thailand in Singapore. After briefing on by Team Thailand Thai -Singapore relations and on security and military issues in Singapore, the Ambassador hosted a dinner at his residence in honour of the Chairman and his party.

On 22 June 2010, from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., Capt. Sutheepong, Defense and Naval Attache, accompanied Pol.Lt. Col. Somchai Petprasert, and his party to visit the Changi Naval Base. After briefing on the issue of seaward defense of Singapore by Col. Li Lit Siew, Commander 3rd Flotilla, and on regional maritime & security challenges, regional co-operative security approach and the information fusion centre at Changi C2 Centre, the committee member had a tour on RSS Endurance, landing ship tank. In the afternoon, the delegates paid a visit to the Parliament to have a dialogue with Mr. Michael Palmer, Chairman of the Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense, on the issues of friendly relations between the parliamentary committees on defense of the two countries and ways to promote networking among these committees within the region.
