After the ceremony, the Royal Thai Embassy hosted light breakfast for the participants.

9 September 2009 at 9.09 a.m. was chosen as the date and time for nationwide tribute and celebration for His Majesty the King because number 9 is considered by Thais as a sacred and lucky number and due to the fact that His Majesty the King is the Ninth King of the present Dynasty.  09.09.09 also means "forever" in Chinese language and is the auspicious date once every 100 years.
