On 25th September 2011 from 09.00 am. to 12.00 am., Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool, Minister Counsellor Nipon P. Prapas and Minister Counsellor Kanjana Wongsuwan, (Labour Affairs) led other Royal Thai Embassy staffs and about 50 volunteers from the Thai community in Singapore in a campaign to clean up Kallang Riverside Park.

National Park Board (NParks) officials, led by Mr. Chia Seng Jian, General Manager (Parks), and Waterways Watch Society represented by its Chairman, Mr. Eugene Heng, were on hand to facilitate the volunteers, who collected rubbish littering in the park along the famed Kallang River. The clean-up drive is part of efforts by the Royal Thai Embassy to encourage Thai expatriates in Singapore especially Thai workers to take part in community services, in this case, to make Kallang Riverside Park pleasant and clean for the public to enjoy.

The park, located in the Vicinity of Golden Mile Complex, where Thai workers spend their free Time, is a popular place for them to picnic and play sports. The Embassy will also provide a banner in Thai language to remind Thai nationals to help keep the park clean.
