Showcase of Thai Movie Industry in Singapore

Royal Thai Embassy Held a Screening of My Best Bodyguard

On Wednesday 18 May 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m., the Royal Thai Embassy organized a special screening of "My Best Bodyguard" movie at Golden Village Cinema. The movie had previously been shown in Singapore at Shaw and Eng Wah Cinemas in early April 2011 after being shown in Thailand late last year. Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolrat Ratchakanya Siriwattanapanavadee is the leading actress. In this movie she has shown acting skills in action film, which is different from her first movie, “Where the Miracle Happens,” a drama about the plight of poor and neglected children in rural areas of Thailand, launched in Singapore in 2008. The key message from “My Best Bodyguard” is to show the value of life and the importance of love, particularly in a family, which can help strengthen unity in the society.

Guests invited by Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool included diplomatic corps, the media, businessmen and "Friends of Thailand" as well as representatives of the Thai community, namely, members of the Thai Association (Singapore), Thai Chef Association (Singapore) and Friends of Thai Labour Association.
