Royal Thai Embassy Participated in The Singapore Youth Festival 2010
On Tuesday 20 July 2010 from 7.30pm to 8.30 pm., at the LaSalle College of the Arts,Singapore Airlines Theater, Mr.Nopadol Gunavibool, Ambassador, accompanied by Ms.Napatsorn Semson, Ms.Patcharawan Ubonloet and Ms.Kaewta Pisitkasem, Public Sector Development Officers, attended Singapore Youth Festival 2010, where Mrs.Tan Ching Yee, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education was present as the Guest of Honour.
The Singapore Youth Festival 2010 was organized annually by the Ministry of Education for the past 44 years and, for the past 5 years,a schools from abroad was invited to join the event each year.
The performances are organized by elementary schools, and schools from Thailand have taken part in the event for the last 2 years.For this year, the school from Thailand that has been invited to join this event is Rijinibon School which was performed in Thai Traditional instruments (Ungkaroong, Klui, Ranard-ek, Saw-duang and Saw-u)
Musical performances have been selected by a panel of judges for their best performance in each category e.g. Gamelan, Anglung, Kulintang, Handbell, Handchimes, Guzheng, Guita and String.
