Royal Thai Embassy and Office of Labour Affairs presented Sports equipment to Thai workers in Singapore

On Sunday 10 October 2011, from 19.30-21.00 hours Mr. Nipon Phetchpornprapas, Minister Counsellor , Mrs.Kanjana Wongsuwan, Minister Counsellor (Labour), Mr.Sakdinath Sontisakyothin Counsellor (Labour ), Ms. Ponpat Thitthongkham (Consul), officers from the Royal Thai Embassy and Office of Labour Affairs paid a visit on 332 Thai workers residing at Scal Kim Chuan Dormitory.

On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy presented sports equipment including ta-kraw, football, basketball and volleyball to the Thai workers in a bid to support sport activities at the dormitory.

Moreover, representatives of the Royal Thai Embassy and the Office of Labour Affairs also distributed useful information including employment-related law, consular service at the Royal Thai Embassy and helpdesk for Thai workers at Level 3 of Golden Miles Complex. They also distributed Handbooks for Thai people in Singapore and free first-aid kits to the Thai workers on the day.

Finally, Minister Counsellor expressed hope that the Thai workers will make the most out of the sports equipment and encouraged the Thai workers to get together and play sports regularly in order to maintain good health and strong friendship among them
