Royal Thai Embassy and ISEAS to launch the book “Through the Eyes of the King”

On Friday 25 September 2009 from 12.30 to 2.00 p.m., Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool hosted a working lunch for Ambassador K. Kasevapany, Director of Institute of Southeast Asian Studies—ISEAS, and his senior staff at his residence. Mr. Marut Jitpatima, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Ms. Sutthathip Vathitphund, First Secretary, and Mr. Srunyu Ampartrakarn, Second Secretary, also attended.

During the lunch, they discussed the latest status of the launching of the book entitled: “Through the Eyes of the King”, written by Datin Patricia Lim Pui Huen, and the Embassy’s contribution to the launching’s event that will take place at the ISEAS on Wednesday 11 November 2009. The book is about HM King Chulalongkorn’s visit to Malaya and Singapore. It contains pictures and explanation of His visits to many places in Malaya which at present are in Malaysia and Singapore. This book reveals and reflects the long established friendship and relations between Thailand and Singapore.
