THANN, the purveyor of natural skin care and aromatherapy products from Thailand, held the official opening of its concept retail store at ION Orchard, Singapore, on Monday 30 November 2009 at 5.30 p.m. Performing the ribbon-cutting were Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool, Mr. Thitipat Supatranond, Managing Director of Thann-Oryza Co.Ltd.; Ms. Soon Su Lin, Chief Executive Officer of ION Orchard, and Mr. Ray Chong, President of Holistic Divine Pte. Ltd., which is THANN’s local distributor. Also present was Ms. Yanee Srimeechai, Acting Director, Thai Trade Centre, Singapore.

ION Orchard is Singapore’s first multi-sensory experiential shopping and lifestyle mall spread out over 660,000 square feet with spectacular frontage and cutting edge designs and concepts on Orchard Road.
The opening of the ION retail outlet is another milestone of THANN and adds to the existing global network of THANN retail stores in Europe (France, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Estonia and Finland), Americas (Canada, Mexico ), Australia and Asia (Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, India, Taiwan, Thailand , Brunei, Guam and Vietnam).

Original products and distinctive packaging design with emphasis on using natural materials have earned THANN the Good Design Award 2005 from the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization, the Thailand Prime Minister’s Export Award 2005, the Design for Asia (DFA) Grand Award 2006 from Hong Kong Design Centre and Best of the Best Thai Star Packaging Awards 2009 from the Department of Industrial Promotion, Ministry of Industry and Thai Packaging Association.
