Krabi Road Show in Singapore

On Wednesday 30 September 2009 from 6.00 to 7.30 p.m. Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool visited and grace the closing of "Krabi Roadshow", organized by  the Krabi Tourist Association and the Krabi Hotels and Resorts Association, with the support of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Singapore Office.

The 52 members of the two associations had arrived in Singapore the day earlier, and throughout the day, tabletop sales calls were conducted to provide information and latest developments in the province. This was the prelude to the resumption of Singapore-Krabi direct flight by Tiger Airways. The flight launch will take place on Sunday 25 October 2009. The airlines will operate flights 4 times per week.

In his speech at the beginning of the reception for the tour operators and hoteliers from Krabi as well as Singaporean tour agents, Ambassador Nopadol pointed out that the pristine water, the beaches, the limestone caves and rock formations, the forests, the natural hot springs are some of Karbi's attractions that Singaporean tourists want to visit.  With recent upgrade of Krabi Airport, which can now accommodate international flights, and the construction and renovation of hotels and resorts in Krabi, the province would be a perfect getaway for Singaporeans and tourists from other countries. He urged tour opearators and hoteliers in Krabi to maintan the high standard of service, the upkeep of the facilities in hotels and resorts to ensure cleanliness and safety, and to impress visitors with warm hospitality so that they help spread the words how wonderful Krabi is as a holiday and MICE destination.
