Cooperation with the S.P.Jain Center of Managament
On Thursday 24 September 2009 from 12.30 to 2.00 p.m., Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool, Mr. Marut Jitpatima, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, and Ms. Chitrachawee Aroonrunglert, First Secretary, had a working lunch with Professor Dawn Dekle, Dean of Leadership Center of the S.P. Jain Center of Management at Tawandang Microbrewery, a Thai restaurant at Demsey Hills.
During the lunch, both sides discussed possible areas of cooperation including, inter alia, MBA programme, scholarship for Thai students, cooperation with Thai educational institutions and special course offered to the public. On the MBA programme, the S.P. Jain Center of Management would like to see more Thai students enrolled at the Center as they will help fulfill one of the Center’s objectives i.e. to be global MBA programme. In this light, Prof. Dekle offered on behalf of the Center, through the Royal Thai Embassy, 5 scholarships to the Thai students to study MBA at the Center. Ambassador Nopadol suggested greater collaboration with similar institution in Thailand and agreed to visit the Center in the near future to explore possibility of future cooperation.
