Ambassador Witnessed the Signing Ceremony of SIF - PDI MOU

On 31 March 2011 from 11.50 a.m. to 12.15 p.m., Ambassador Nopadol Gunavibool witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Singapore International Foundation (SIF) and Population and Development International (PDI) at the Cache Room, *SCAPE. He was accompanied by Ms. Sutthathip Vathitphund, First Secretary. Also present at the ceremony was Ms. Euleen Goh, Chairman of SIF. The MOU is aimed at strengthening collaboration between SIF and PDI, which is part of Mechai Viravaidya Foundation. It will entail a long-term partnership in youth exchanges in the area of social entrepreneurship as well as sending general and specialist volunteer. This MOU will be a milestone in continuing the SIF’s engagement with Thailand. 

The Mechai Viravaidya Foundation was established to promote youth philanthropy and education. The Foundation has established Mechai Pattana School, Green Village Toy Library, and Youth Philanthropy Program to ensure that children grow up to be good citizens and recognize the joy of doing public good. These initiatives are funded by generous contributions from donors as well as social enterprises including the Cabbages & Condoms Restaurant Chain, Birds & Bees Resort in Pattaya, and Business for Rural Education and Development Co. Ltd. (BREAD).
